CE PoliMaT is selecting the nominees for the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering
The Queen Elizabeth Prize
for Engineering is a new international prize recognizing and celebrating outstanding
advances in engineering that have been of global benefit to humanity.
Because of its noble cause
of recognizing outstanding achievements and inspiring people to develop
life-changing engineering creations, the £1million prize has been supported by HM
the Queen Elizabeth II, who will present it in the spring of 2013.
CE PoliMaT was honored to be
the co-organizer of the event at which the prize was launched in Slovenia by the
British Ambassador in Slovenia, H.E. Andrew Page, and Harvard professor Calestous
Juma, a member of the panel of judges selecting the winner of the prize.
We believe that among the researchers
of CE PoliMaT there are several who can competently compete for the prize.
Therefore, the Scientific Council of CE PoliMaT will select the nominees.
