Biopolymer Workshop in Kenya
January 27-31, 2013, Biopolymer Workshop in Kenya addresses sustainable agriculture, health and technological development challanges - with biopolymers.
In a first-of-its-kind Biopolymer Workshop an international group of experts will instruct the participants how to integrate knowledge to identify industrial needs and demands, how to identify policy options for action and how to best turn them into practice.
Center of Excellence PoliMaT is organizing a Biopolymer Workshop subtitled "Harnessing the power of biopolymers for improving human wellbeing and enhancing global competitiveness" with partners from the Jomo Kenyatta University for Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT, Kenya), Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron (ABIA), Biotechnology Center of Excellence Corporation (all USA), VDI/VDE-IT (Germany), Educell (Slovenija) and Polymer Competence Center Leoben (Austria).
The Workshop will focus on current advancements in biopolymer research and implications for industry, public policy and international science and technology cooperation and explore their relevance for addressing the global challanges in Kenya.
